Why I love apples

Sweet, tart, juicy. Red Delicious or Ginger Golds or Honeycrisps or Granny Smiths. But McIntosh apples are my favorites, and they’re best after the first fall frost. This week, night time temperatures have been in the high 30s. Soon….

    Oh, I am envious of the cool nights and the little nip that must be in the air after sun down. Sigh…I’m a Granny Smith gal through and through. :-)

  4. I am going to miss all of the mountain apple orchards next month. It was always one of our best family outings for fall. These look wonderful!

    Yummy … as we head into spring our apples aren’t so good – I love the crispy winter apples the best.
