I’ve ever seen is the sight of Avery sleeping on Tom’s chest. When Avey sleeps, he looks to me like the perfect picture of peace. And when Avery is on Tom’s chest, the peacefulness transfers to Tom, too.

Funny you should mention this. A few hours ago Kellen fell asleep on the couch while leaning on my shoulder. I was brought back to that time when he was very young and would fall asleep on my chest. There is nothing better…
I love how you said the peacefulness transfers to someone – that is a wonderful observation.
Every evening Thomas hangs out with Reed on our bed until he falls asleep (one or the other–ha ha). When I’m done tucking in the other kids, I come into my room to find T dozing in the crook of Reed’s arm, or lying on his chest. It’s one of my favorite parts of the day. The other is getting T out of his crib in the morning.
Are you trying to tell us you didn’t take a picture??? I’m looking for a picture, Jen! I snap pics of Maddie and Robert all the time when they’re not suspecting, and I think those are the best pictures we have.
lc!
No photos, can you believe it? The moments come so quickly and then are gone, and I feel lucky if I even remember to write about them.
And so all I have to offer are word pictures….
I don’t know, I think sometimes the word pictures are better for me; I can picture all the times Nik has fallen asleep on his Daddy’s chest, too.
Thanks for transferring the peaceful feeling to me, too.
Awe……you should take a picture sometime, as I too would love to see it.
Isn’t it amazing how that peace can transfer….what a great thing for Tom too!
Parker and I spend a lot of time together either rocking or with me lying on the floor with pillows and him lying (laying?) on me snoring. Okay. He doesn’t snore anymore. But he does drool.
Parker is still so teeny that he fits perfectly on my shoulder and on my chest. I get the blessings of extra time with him willing to snuggle up close.
so lovely! yes. i love this in our house too. now that dave’s able to put fluffy to bed on a regular basis, i often get glimpses of the two of them curled together in the mounds of puff and pillows.
