When mom is sick

alittlemore.jpg

We’ve been sick all week, which is like traveling to a different planet, where everything seems suspicious and full of doom. How is it that after each runny nose, each cold, each cough, once we’ve returned to good health, I forget how much I dislike being ill? I write about this week in “A Little More” at ParentDish.

Oh my goodness, this made me cry —you’ve gotta stop doing that to me, would you!? The image of the notes as snowflakes that fell while you were sleeping…beautiful. Soooo many mothers would be annoyed and might consider the notes wasteful and messy. Your perspective of how much you have to lose —therefore how much more you really have —keeps the right perspective.

And the banana phone? Priceless! Hope you are all feeling better…and that Tom didn’t catch it from the rest of you!

What a beautiful revelation. Get well soon, Jennifer!

  3. Anne says:

I hope you feel better soon!

And we have “Daddy breakfasts” here, too, that are delightful.

Thanks again for a great read!

Thank you so much, everyone. I’m already feeling better…I think writing about my anxieties actually helped me feel less anxious about them!

  5. David's sister says:

Pick up the banana phone Jennifer. I’m calling to say, ” Magnificent story!”
    Thank you
