A different kind of graduation

I’ve written about Avery’s walking here, and again here, so it’s not a new subject. Even so, I wasn’t ready for what happened last week. I write about it today, in “A Little More” at ParentDish.

  1. Oh, I just love Amy’s motto. I’m going to use it every chance I get.

And, yes, Jennifer, how wonderful for you and for Avery. I love the descriptions of your PT sessions at the park. No wonder Avery has come so far, his therapist certainly understood how to motivate him and encourage him. It sounds like Wendy is worth her weight in gold. Keep her close, regardless.

  2. Congratulations to all of you! What a big accomplishment. Here’s the motto that we live by in our home, it seems apt for this milestone: “Yesterday was tough; tomorrow, who knows? But TODAY, today is a good day.”

    Three cheers for Avery!

  3. It’s scary, isn’t it, getting out there in the big world with no one to guide you, or encourage you, or tell you how to get to the next step. You’ll have to trust your instincts, and like you said, just trust Avery. After all of Wendy’s love and support, and yours too, he knows what to do now.

    Happy Graduation, Avery!
