Where are we going, and how soon until we get there?

I don’t often write about my son Carter, who is nine years old and perfectly capable of telling his own stories.  But the thing is, by respecting his privacy, it sometimes seems as if he has a lesser place in my days, and in my heart.  Which is not true!  This week’s column at ParentDish is mostly about Carter, and I wrote it with his help: he was my editor. (He has an excellent ear for dialog, as I suspect all kids do–they haven’t yet learned the art of mutlitasking and the “Mmm-hmmm…just one second, honey!”)

  1. We talk about this all the time….my older children have asked not to ‘tell’ too much about their lives, so I don’t…….but it might seem the same way on my blog that life revolves around little Miss, but it does and does’nt, as my life revolves around all of my children…and their lives revolve around their family [but they also expore other parts of the universe!]

I’m heading now to read about Sir Carter!

  2. That was great. Sometimes I feel the same way about my older two boys, who are 12 and 9. They also tell their own stories. They have their own blogs, which we keep private of course, only a few select family members can read them. You never know what type of crazy people are out there.

I think sometimes when I don’t talk about them a whole lot people think I am too focused on Rhett and Chloee, but that is far from the truth. My two older boys are just as amazing and wonderful as my younger kiddos.

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Thank you for your writing. I always enjoy it so much.

    Pam and Rhett
